Privacy Policy
MusherHub is software for running a sled dog kennel: dogs, teams, tours, and the routes those teams run. This page explains what personal data the app handles, why, where it is stored and for how long.
1. Who we are
MusherHub is provided by Sidèra, the sole proprietorship of Noa De Clercq.

2. Two roles
Each kennel that uses MusherHub decides who it invites and what it records. For the data a kennel puts into the app, including the location of its staff during runs, the kennel is the data controller and Sidèra processes that data on the kennel's behalf, under the data processing terms in our Terms of Service.
For the customer relationship itself (the kennel's contact person, contracts and invoices), Sidèra is the data controller.
3. What we collect

| Runs from a watch | When you add a run from a GPS file (for example a Garmin .fit or .gpx export): the route, times, distance and speed in that file. Other data in the file, such as heart rate, is not read or stored. |
| Content you add | Dogs and their photos, health notes, team line-ups, schedules, tours, tasks, ratings and feedback, season routes, and the kennel's emergency contact (name and phone number) for the SOS button. |
| Technical data | IP address and basic request logs kept by our hosting providers to run the service and keep it secure. |
We do not use analytics, advertising, advertising identifiers or tracking across other apps and websites. We do not read your contacts. We do not sell personal data.
4. Location data in detail
- Recording starts when a run is started on your device and stops when the run is finished or you leave the run screen.
- In the iPhone and Android app, recording continues while the screen is locked, so a phone can stay in a pocket during a run. While this happens, Android shows a permanent notification and iPhone shows the location indicator in the status bar.
- Outside an active run, the app does not request or record your location.
- In the web version, location is only recorded while the screen is on and the page is open.
- Positions are visible only to members of your own kennel: on the live map during the run and as a route afterwards.
- Positions that cannot be sent because of poor coverage are kept on the device until they can be sent, and are then removed from the device.
5. Why we process it and on what basis
- To provide the service to the kennel and its users: performance of the contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- Location of staff during runs: the kennel determines the purpose and legal basis, usually its legitimate interest in the safety of guests, staff and dogs and in planning its operations (art. 6(1)(f)). The kennel is responsible for informing its staff about this.
- Security and preventing misuse: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)).
- Invoicing and bookkeeping: legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)).
6. How long we keep it

Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, so deleted data also disappears from backups after a short period.
7. Where your data is stored and who processes it
| Supabase | Database, login and file storage. Data is hosted in Stockholm, Sweden (EU). |

| Netlify | Hosting of the web app. Processes IP addresses and request logs. Transfers outside the EU are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses. |
| OpenFreeMap and Esri | Map and satellite images. When the map loads, your device requests images from them, which reveals your IP address and the map area being viewed, not your recorded route. |
| Apple and Google | Distribution of the iPhone and Android app through their stores, under their own privacy policies. |
We do not share personal data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
8. Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Every request to the database is checked against your kennel membership and role, so one kennel can never see another kennel's data. Access to the production systems is limited to Sidèra.
9. Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, and ask for a copy in a machine-readable format. For data your kennel recorded about you, you may also contact your kennel directly; if you contact us, we will pass your request on to them.
Deleting your account: in the app under More → Delete my account, or by emailing info@sidera.be from the address of your account. See Support.
You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be) or with the authority in the country where you live or work, for example IMY in Sweden.
10. Children
MusherHub is a tool for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 16.
11. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how your data is used, kennels will be notified in advance.
